How to increase ROI through employee engagement

Now more than ever the concept of employee engagement is pertinent to HR leaders.

With technological advancements, words such as upskilling and digitization can be directly correlated to engaging employees. Showing employees, you care via actions instead of big talk is the new trend HR leaders should hop on. Helping staff members upgrade their skills through individual professional development and futureproofing their careers, allows employees to feel a sense of belonging to the organization and, hence increasing ROI. To summarise, training = caring = engagement = improved work performance = increased ROI.

Training is not new to management but the approach and mindset towards it has changed greatly especially over the past year of 2020. There are several methods of digitized training.

Mobile learning, Micro learning, Nano Learning, and E-learning. They sound so similar to one another but it’s worth pondering over these terms and deciphering their differences.

Mobile learning is accessing content at your convenience and on the go.

Micro & Nano learning can be considered the same. This involves breaking down learning content into bite sized modules and objectives and therefore, ideally capping the learning time between 5–7 mins per module which further leverages the idea of learning at your convenience.
